Are you aged 25 and above? Do you want to engage with your local community in a meaningful way? We have some amazing opportunities this summer from CPD training, mentoring, volunteering and a chance to nominate/attend our exciting annual awards event.

ATTEND OR NOMINATE A YOUNG PERSON
EMPOWERED is a youth awards event that recognises the talent and achievements of Bristol’s inner city young people. It presents the unique opportunity to nominate a deserving young person, sponsor in return for publicity benefits or be inspired by attending on 15th July 2016. Find out more here.

ATTEND A CPD TRAINING COURSE (DIVERSITY)
In partnership with NCBI, this course provides you with the confidence, awareness, techniques and engagement tips to understand diversity. Perfect for those who want to effectively lead a diverse team or who work with varying consumers. Find out how to attend here.

DEVELOP YOUR MENTORING SKILLS
Do you have at least 3 years of industry experience in any field? Do you want to develop your mentoring skills whilst giving back to your local community in a meaningful way? For approximately 1 hour every 2 weeks, over a 3 month period you can impact the career course of a young person this summer! Email Amy to find out more.

TAKE ON A FUNDRAISING CHALLENGE
Believe every young person deserves a chance to achieve their ambitions? Looking to support a charity making an impact in your local community? Put yourself through the paces this summer with one of our fundraising challenges that directly supports a young person to access support to enter into employment, enterprise or higher education. JOIN A FREE UNIVERSITY SHORT COURSE!
Are you 18+? Interested in African Literature and Media? Want to experience University style learning? Join this free University of Bristol course where you will be trained to present information in blog, print, social media and radio and explore African literary greats.
